Mix Your Finishes

Different and subtle finishing’s for items such as lights, hardware, or other accents adds dimensions and visual interest to a room. An example would be in your kitchen or bathroom; have the faucets in a brushed or chrome finish while having the cabinet hardware in a contrasting finish. These dynamics give you the flexibility to add your personal touch with décor and create each element sown identity.

Mix Textures Together

Mixing textures together is limitless, from lights to faucets to throw pillows. Some texture mixing could include layering different textures, using contrast fabrics, decorating with plants & flowers, adding textured furniture or accessories.

Take all Levels into Account

When mixing and matching pay attention to all levels of décor. When adding accents to the floor or walls make sure your eyes flow through the whole room. Accessories such as planters and vases can help finish colors and balance the space.
